Gran Turismo 5 was designed expressly for the Playstation 3 and gives the players the opportunity to race in high performance cars that they would never normally get to drive, with a price tag they could never afford, in places where they will never go.
Super Gamer Dude
Before the release of Gran Turismo 5 we were led to expect one of the most realistic and comprehensive driving experiences. The actuality of Gran Turismo 5 is that it features over 1000 licensed cars from the world’s top manufacturers and more than 20 tracks with more than 70 variations, including some famous real world circuits, city courses, and various other racing environments. Featuring exciting gameplay and modes suitable for newcomers to racing, for automotive enthusiasts, and for hardened afficionados of the pro racing circuit, Gran Turismo takes the sport of racing to the next level with its depth of content and unbeatable visual effects making it difficult to distinguish the game from a live race. Adding to this realism, cars feature real-time visual damage with accurate contact deformations suposed to be accurately derived from point of impact and velocity data.
Also for the first time, Gran Turismo 5 features an extremely deep online and community feature set. Players can progress and acquire credits through a variety of modes like GT Career Mode, Championship Races, License Tests and more, or they can explore different tracks and circuit variations in Arcade Mode. Players can race online, with up to 16 of you involved, through the PlayStation Network. Does it live up to its promise. The jury's out on this. I think it does, whether or not experienced players will agree with me is yet to be seen.
