One of the successful series of Wing Commander is the Project Sylpheed. Just like the other games in town, it also has different levels and missions to accomplish. Some of the things to look out for is you'll get to zoom into space, blast another spacecraft and launch bombs at bigger and scarier ships. It has a lot of cutscenes throughout the game to bring out its anime style. But the sad part of this game is its brief length and poor controls.

You will be named Katana, a member of Terrans and a defender of Earth. Your mortal enemies will be the ADAN resistance, where a league of people from other planets who are the arbitrary of Earth's government. While the story unfolds, you have to defend your spaceship, kill the enemies, and ruin the ADAN'S Death Star. Although the story is not that intense, it helps you along the game for you to understand more.

While it has its ups and downs, the Project Sylpheed's control schemes are not that easy to handle and understand. There are lots of commands and controls that will require you to press the button according to the desired outcome, each button has a specific function and by pressing them once, twice, or thrice will gave you a different outcome. It makes the game more complex and challenging and the tutorial mode will not help you in understanding the effectiveness of the buttons rather it abruptly tells you how to function and command the ship. Some of the commands presented at the game are more of distractions than being more of a help such as boosting forward to kill the enemies, and firing all massive ammunition at once.

There will be harder but not impossible missions that will you need to focus on, but mostly the game is more of trying to shoot the enemies with bombs and explosives coming from your ship to go to the next round. The most important aspect in this game is to protect your ship and your allies from being shot. Roughly two to six hours of flying and killing the ADAN's group, one can decipher the conclusion and ending of the storyline.

When not on the move and everything is still, the visual effects are quite interesting and surreal. It has attractive and pleasing stars and the ships designs are unique in its features and colors. Unfortunately, when everything is cramped up in your screen, the frame rate is worse. When you get to the later levels, the two powerful opposing forces will strike against each other bringing their own fleets. Due to its limitations, the game is nearly unrecognizable and hard to play. But above everything else, one can appreciate the explosions and it's sound effects of the game. The voice acting and the dubbing is incredibly good both during the game and its cutscenes.

While there are many games available in the market today, you cant see anything like Project Sylpheed. the game is too basic for anyone who is looking for more harder and more complicated game just like the Wing Commander.

The player of Alone in The Dark will find himself with amnesia in the totally different New York City. The game started in Central Park which he will find clues to discover the mystery of the city. One of the most important features of the game is the itemisation and the inventory process. The player will just be allowed to carry anything that will fit his pockets and belt. The player will be allowed to literally look at his pockets and jackets. This special feature creates a sense of security to the player that amidst the total darkness he still has the ability to fight.

All the things that the player puts in his pocket will be his weapons in killing the enemies. There are logical ways to use it such as a gas inside a bottle can make an explosion. But the purpose is to let the player think of more ideas from the things in his pockets to generate a more effective weapon. Putting lots of bullets inside a bottle, throwing it towards clustering monsters then shooting it in the air can surely make a deadly weapon. The creativity of the player is important to unravel the puzzles.

The only thing that can kill the monsters is fire. The player should not run out of fire all the time. He must get burning objects that can be chairs, stick, or a baseball bat. He can strike the monster using the flaming object. The player can set the attack by positioning the stick in the same direction then hit the enemy by clicking the flaming object from different direction. It is enjoyable to hit the monster again and again but the problems is there are times that the control is fiddly and the hit detector is not responding which can lead the player to lose the game.

The common but reliable weapon is the handgun with flaming bullets. Some weapons are illogical but it is effective in killing the monsters which can be killed only by hitting the specific scar left by their creator. There are also puzzles that don't involve killing which come out earlier or later in the game. There are also issues in manoeuvring like getting inside the car, driving the car and when finding out the path away from burning and collapsing building.

The setting is not just the central park but there are also indoor events that are creatively made. Although the inconsistencies of the burning fire and some distorted faces of the characters can sometimes affect the performance of the player, the dramatic mode of the game compensates it. The good thing also is that the entire game is cut into different levels so the player can skip anytime and still have a summary of the game in every level. Though there are technicalities, still the game can provide good entertainment.

What will you get if you mix a multiplayer shooter like Counter-Strike and a touch of magic in the air? Yes, it's definitely the new game of Microsoft which is the Shadowrun. It has the edge of war fighting using different ammunition and guns with a touch of magic spells and character upgrades. This kind of game attracts both genders who love guns and magic spells but due to its lack of diversity made the game a superficial experience.

Upon signing up, there will be a brief and necessary training to familiarize oneself with the basic information and intelligence. This new game is played online with up to 16 players. The story is all about opposing forces fighting each other and trying to control magic in the new and modern high tech world. Well that is just the main idea; the rest of it is just about increasing skills by buying things and artifacts.

Shadowrun is played just like Counter-Strike with the ability to play with multiple players. At the beginning of each game, you are presented with a period where you will be able to indulge yourself in the buy menu and equip yourself with guns, hi-tech upgrades and lastly magic related spells. Aside from buying a .34 caliber pistol you might want to equip yourself with some form of magic that enables you to teleport anywhere imaginable, heal other players, smoke that will enable you to be invincible buy any kind of weapon, or gust which blow other players around the field. There are a lot of lists of things you might want to use but the down play is you can only equip yourself with three weapons at a given time.

To make things more interesting, you can choose your own race from a variety of choices. How interesting will it be to be an Elf for a day and run so fast and regenerates health? Or will you choose to be a strong, big tough Trolls but slow in pace? You can be a little dwarf that can absorb powers from other players. Or you can choose to stay human and use all the hi-tech and modern weapons that exist.

Once you chose your race, it's off to battle! There are three kinds of game types you can expect in Shadowrun. The two of which is focused in what they called artifact or the games version of flag. One team will defend the artifact with all their strength and power, and one team will try to capture it and deliver it to a specific location. The last type of the game that you can expect is the attrition, you no longer concern yourself with the artifact but instead you will have to destroy all other teams that you will encounter.

There will be no problem in playing this game through Xbox 360 and PC playing in an identical server. The sound effects, and the visual effects is in excellent quality and the magic spells is fine. But there are things that should have been considered. Characters don't have uniqueness in them, they looked identical and it could have been better if there are many choices to choose from. It will be difficult to recommend this game, for you may not be getting all your money's worth.

The story has you playing a character named Ross, leader of a squad of elite soldiers that is fighting a menace to humanity. In the Beginning, God created another race of creature known as the 'firstborn.' These creations turned out to be monstrosities that He locked in another dimension, which they have the capability to sometimes escape from and enter this realm. In order to stop these infestations, the Jericho squad travels through time to wherever they are needed.

The gameplay is the most interesting part of this title, and definitely something that could be a game-changer. In addition to being able to play as Ross, you can also put yourself into the bodies of the different characters that are on your squad. Each character has different strengths and weaknesses, and also different special capabilities that can be used to improve the combat capability of your squad. Despite the possible difficulties of learning the specific play style of six different characters that can be activated in real-time, the slow-learning curve makes it possible, and soon simple to switch between them for whichever character you need.

Just using the capabilities of your characters isn’t enough though, with six characters. They have to be able to obey commands that you give them too, and there aren’t a lot of commands, but they will follow them pretty well. The issue that makes this entire system difficult to work with is the way the levels themselves are laid out. The portions that have a proper amount of cover and allow your team to work together to fight out battles against enemies work well, but most battles end up with your team stuck in some little corridor somewhere, since most of the levels are filled with one corridor after another, really with no cover to be found anywhere. What ends up happening is that large numbers of your team die nearly every encounter. Though they can be revived after the battles are over, it’s unfortunate you end up taking so much time to heal up on even the smallest of encounters.

At least while you’re healing, you can take the time to enjoy the gorgeous graphics. Your teammates look detailed and different, the levels are gorgeous, despite being so closed in, and the lighting is well-done to give the claustrophobic feeling even more of a sense of dread.

With so many great things that Clive Barker’s Jericho has going for it, it’s really too bad that a lot of the actual gameplay doesn’t measure up. If you’re willing to put up with a lot to enjoy the mechanic, then you could possibly find some fun in this game, but most people will be easily frustrated and find it a waste to keep up the slog.
